Microsoft Office is so widely used that it's probably just a matter of time…until you have some content in Word, Excel or PowerPoint that you want to bring…in to an iBooks Author project.…So let's take a look at your options for doing that.…We'll start with Word.…I have a word document here that I'd like to use as a section of text in my…iBooks Author project.…I've used a couple styles in Word to format the text, mostly it's styled with…the normal paragraph style and also I've used heading levels 1, 2, and 3.…To get this content into iBooks Author, I could copy and paste all of the text.…
Let's see what happens when I do that.…I'll press Command+A to select all, Command+C to copy it, switch over to…iBooks Author, I'll click in the text box, and press Command+V. iBooks Author…creates as many pages as it needs to to fit all the text, and let's see what…it did to the formatting.…I'll click in the first paragraph of text, go to the Format bar, choose my…Paragraph Styles, and I can see it set as Body. And in fact all this text is now set as Body.…
