- Let's explore the process of working with opener images for the chapter. These are the splash images that you see at the beginning of a page. This is great to identify the start of the chapter, and I recommend that you choose a bold image that's interesting to look at. Let's start here with the introduction. I can select an image and choose, insert, choose. This allows me to navigate to my folder. You might recall that earlier we talked about a raw file. Well, you can use the insert command and select an image, ideally a prepared jpeg, but this still works. When I choose to insert that, it adds it in to the existing template, because I had the placeholder image selected. In templates, images are usually set to placeholders so they're easy to swap out. I can adjust the size of that image or double click on the image to reposition it within the frame. That works well. While I have it selected, I'll also choose edit, copy.
