Reviewing FEA results
When creating a report from SolidWorks simulation, one of the options is to create an eDrawings file. This is a great way to share the results, and makes it easy to review the report in an interactive format. First things first, let's open the report. Let's go up here to Open, and you see it's 2.7-eprt. Go ahead and click on that, and click on open. Okay, soon as this opens up, this is the same part we've been looking at. We did a simulation on it, and I can zoom in, zoom out. I can spin it around by holding down the middle mouse button. I can zoom by scrolling, and you can see exactly what's going on in this model. You can see where the stress risers are, you can see where the safe zones are. So everything that's going to be in red or orange or yellow are going to be areas that are seeing high stresses.
