Did you vow never to see them again or never to broach that topic with them? It's amazing how humans can have such polar opposite opinions on topics, from sports to politics to religion to how you raise your kids. These are all potential areas of conflict. And we all believe that we're right. The situation is exacerbated by the social media filter bubbles that we find ourselves in because we tend to hang around with similar-minded people who just confirm our beliefs and give us a skewed impression that everyone else thinks the same way as we do.
