- Widespread cultural adoption, automation, and artificial intelligence is the future of reality capture technology. Right now, we are in the wild west for the software companies staking their claim on new technologies and algorithms. I have seen startups come and go, sometimes within months, as this industry is highly competitive. It makes it a bit tricky for the would-be adopter to decide which brand to go with for scanners, which drones to use for mapping, and which cameras to buy for image capture because in a month or two, everything could change with a new innovation. Prices plummet faster than contract agreements can be written. It's kind of crazy.
