Working with mate types

- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to take a look at adding some mates to the components you see here on the screen. The first thing I want to do is click on the Mate controller up here and jump into the Mate tool right here. And I want to go ahead and create a multi-mate situation from the beginning. So I'm going to use the Coincident Mate but I'm going to go ahead here and choose this icon which is called the Multi-Mate. Click on that and now I have the ability to choose my default component, which I'm going to choose the top of this one here, and now I can add multiple coincident mates at the same time. I'm going to go ahead and choose the top of this one, the top of this one, and the top of that one, and then click on OK. And that quickly I was able to add all those mates and make them all align on the same plane. Alright. Once you have those, now we can add a couple other mates. Come back up here, click on Mate, and this time we're going to go and use a parallel mate. So…
