- Are you asking yourself enough questions? When most people hear of the concept of productive questions, they think about the questions they're going to ask other people. Those they lead, their coworkers, their friends, and their family. But I've found that the habit of asking productive questions begins with the questions we ask ourselves. We're becoming dependent on digital assistance. When we have a question, we ask Google or Alexa or Bing, and expect to receive an answer. That's useful, but what if I told you that you could be your own assistant? When you ask yourself productive questions, you create an open loop that your brain must answer. The right questions asked of ourselves are very powerful. Often, they're more powerful than the statements we make to ourselves.
