What problems does serverless computing solve?
- [Instructor] So what kind of problems does serverless computing solve? Where are the use cases? How do we apply it to solve business problems? Ultimately, in the traditional world, we were still bound to physical servers, still bound to the data center type of approach. And even though we dealt with the virtual world of Cloud computing, we still had to deal with virtual servers. We still have to allocate them, very much like functionally bolting a new server into a rack within a data center. However, we did it virtually in the Cloud. So ultimately, we have to think ahead, if we're going to build an application, we need to think proactively about the resources that that application needs. And ultimately, if you think you're typically going to over allocate resources that you think you need, that's typically going to be the pattern and behavior.
