In this video, author Shaun Bryant demonstrates how to use coordinate data entry using the command line in AutoCAD.
- [Narrator] So we're staying the coordinates.dwg file.…And as usual, you can use that…to follow along with this particular video.…Now you'll remember in the last video,…we created two extra lines on the walls layer…using the dynamic input.…Now what we're going to do,…is we're going to replicate that this time.…But we're going to do it in a way…that we use to command line…and we use coordinates entered on the command line only.…So, the two lines that we created over here.…
So, I'm going to select this one and this one,…and I'm just going to hit the delete key,…and I'm going to take them off the drawing.…Now the good thing is,…you'll remember from the last video,…that we now know that this corner here is 1000, 1000…on the coordinate system in the AutoCAD drawing.…So down to the status bar now,…and we're going to switch off dynamic input.…And we're going to do all of this…from the command line this time.…So I go down to the command line, hover over it.…It goes that nice, non-transparent white,…and I type L for line and Enter, like so.…
