- [Instructor] SharePoint Online provides two distinctly different types of storage for two different purposes. First, we have shared storage, primarily, SharePoint document libraries, where members of the team can store documents and collaborate on those documents. If we have images that we want to store, we could store them in a document library, but we will typically create a different type of library, called a picture library, because it has features that are specific for use with images. There are other specific types of libraries in SharePoint as well. Form libraries, libraries for site pages, libraries for Wiki pages and so on. But in this course, we will primarily focus on document libraries. And most of the files shared in SharePoint are, in fact, stored in document libraries.
