Simulate sunlight with shadows

- When we last left Natalie, she was basking in the sun on the riviera. Unfortunately, it was too much sun. We wanted to put her in a shaft of light. And that's what we've done here. If you watched the last movie, you saw me simulate sunlight with a single strobe with a reflector on it. But the composition wasn't great. I wanted a little more, so we put up these two black flags. Now again, one of your questions is where does light go when it leaves the lighting instrument? Light is shining out of my single monolight up there. And it's immediately colliding with these flags. They, in turn, are casting shadows onto the back wall. How do I know? I can't see any of that because it's a strobe light. Fortunately, it's a strobe light with a modeling light. If I turn the modeling light on, now, it's not as bright as the strobes, but you can see the shadows that the two flags are casting.
