- [Instructor] In chapter one, I covered physical and logical infrastructure. Let's review some of the key points from that chapter. First, the cloud can be a deceptive term. We often think of the cloud as being everywhere and nowhere at the same time but the reality is that even the cloud requires hardware and there's always some physical component, even if we're not responsible for operating it. Because of this, the hardware associated with the cloud needs to be secured, just like hardware in any other data center. One of the key components here is the basic input/output system, BIOS. BIOS is what allows us to boot a computer, including loading the operating system. To secure this, there's two technologies that we can use. The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface, or UEFI, provides a secure booting technology to help us through this process and UEFI relies upon the Trusted Platform Module, or TPM, which is a hardware…
