Skill Level Beginner
(upbeat music) - Hi everyone, I'm Joseph Linaschke. Also known as Photo Joseph, coming to you from beautiful scenic Mendocino County California where we've chosen to bring you this course, Photography 101. I'm here to educate on the absolute basics of photography and to answer fundamental questions like, what is shutter speed, or how does an aperture work, and why should I care? In these lessons we'll explore various camera shooting modes and compare camera settings, and then apply them to real world scenarios.
We'll talk about lighting, stabilization, and even how to hold and carry your camera. We'll discuss the differences between mirrored and mirror less digital cameras. Compare electronic to mechanical shutters and even touch on capabilities like time lapse and panoramic photography. We'll also review some important conceptual approaches to improving your photography. Namely, understanding the ideas of perspective, angle and detail. By the end of this course you'll have the knowledge you need to take the next steps toward refining your image making skills. Welcome to Photography 101.
