- [Instructor] Another type of data that you may run into…and Presto has some good functions for you to work with…is URLs, and URLs have a specific format.…You may not totally be aware,…if you're not into web development,…and you haven't done that thing,…but you most likely will come across this data,…especially if you're working with web data.…So lets take a look here at how to work with URLs in Presto.…First, I'm going to log in to Presto,…and from here what I want to do is parse the URL,…and we'll check out all the functions we want to go here.…
So I'll start out with a with statement to create a table…that I can reference.…So with u as, I'm going to say select,…and I'm just going to paste in a link here.…So this is the link to search for me on Linkedin Learning,…and it has all the components of a URL…that we would typically want to parse,…so I'll just call that as url.…Now to work with that,…we have lots of different functions here.…So first we'll say select and we'll do url extract,…so this is how we parse out all the different parts.…
