Node basics - SOP

- Alright, we're on our clean slate, empty project here. I'm going to click on the project one container, hit the I key to go inside there, and hit the tab key, and we want to go to the blue tab here. In this video, we're going to look at SOPs. SOPs are surface operators, and this is how we create and process geometry within Touch Designer. So the first thing we're going to do, very simple, is just lay down a sphere. So I'm going to S-P-H, and we got our sphere highlighted, and lay that down. Okay, there we go, we've got a sphere. Now what we're going to do is, I'm going to right-click here, and I'm going to type N-O-I, and I'm going to get some noise. Now if I hit play, you can see now we're already getting this interesting noisily processed piece of sphere geometry. And what we're going to do here, is we're going to look at the fact that not only are these nodes able to show the geometry just like we see them here, but we're actually able to use these as more elaborate geometry…
