- [Instructor] We're in our blank slate project here. I'm going to go inside project one and what we're going to do here, I'm going to hit tab and go over to DATs. So DATs are the data operators of TouchDesigner and these do a number of different things. Everything from storing data in spread-sheet like tables to being able to execute and build elaborate scripts. We're going to be looking at some more of the basic out-of-the-box stuff here and we'll leave programming for our future courses down the line. So what we're going to do first is grab a table. Grab a table and lay this down. You can see this is basically like a single cell spread-sheet right now. So I'm going to right click on this and say edit contents. You can see by default it's going to say "editor not found, please specify an editor "via the preference dialog". So we go to dialogs. And we're going to go to edit preferences, go to DATs, and then you can see we need a text and table editor so I'm going to click here. Now…
