- [Instructor] In chapter three I shared a lot of information on networking, and this is a really important topic for the exam and for cloud security in general. Let's review some of the key points. First, the TCPIP protocol suite is the heart of all modern networks. It consists of three major protocols that you really need to remember. First, the internet protocol handles routing data across networks. Because of this we call IP a network layer protocol. And it serves transport layer protocols. The two majors ones are TCP and UDP. TCP, the transmission control protocol is a connection oriented protocol that guarantees delivery from one system to the next. It's the best choice when you need to be sure that every packet arrives and that it arrives in order. The user datagram protocol, or UDP, is a connectionless protocol that instead of guaranteed delivery, makes best effort delivery. It's a good choice when you don't…
