- [Instructor] Hi, my name is Richard Yot. And in this course I'm going to take you step-by-step through the process of shading, texturing, lighting, and rendering the shoe model. The aim of the course is to show you how to set up a fast and effective workflow in Modo. This starts with leveraging the power of the advanced viewport to allow you to preview your lighting and materials in real time. Modo is built around the concept of speed, and offers several ways of quickly previewing your scene as you work as well as the advanced viewport, technologies such as Ray GL, and the preview renderer, allow you to quickly check your results without interrupting your flow. The training will show you how to best leverage these so that you can work quickly and efficiently. Harnessing this fast workflow will help you with shading, texturing, and lighting allowing you to achieve great results quickly while previewing your work in real time. Over the course of this training, you'll learn how to create believable materials with real-world details using both image maps and procedural textures. Finally, you'll learn how to create beautiful lighting quickly to show off your assets effectively. And you'll also learn how to create material and lighting variations in your scenes using Render Passes.
