Mixolydian mode

- The next mode is the Mixolydian mode. Using the derivative approach, the Mixolydian mode is built on the fifth degree of a major scale. Here, we have G to G in the key of C major. Take a listen to this mode. (Mixolydian mode) Using the parallel approach, the Mixolydian mode is a major scale with a lowered seventh degree. So, the scale degrees of a Mixolydian mode are root, two, three, four, five, six, and flat seven. Here, I have the C Mixolydian mode. Check out what this mode sounds like. (Mixolydian mode)
