- The C minor seven arpeggio is a one, flat three, five and flat seven of the scale. So we have this basic sound right here. (gentle piano music) Now the scale that goes over that chord is the C Dorian minor scale, it's the second mode of the major scale. So if C minor is the second mode, the major scale we're working off is B flat. So we'll play a B flat major scale from C to C and we'll get the C Dorian, so it'll sound like this. (bass guitar music) Let's sound the chord and sing the scale.
