Minor 7b5 chords
- Now we'll look at a minor 7th flat 5 chord, which is also known as a half diminished 7th chord. This contains a root, a minor 3rd, a diminished 5th, and a minor 7th. Notice it's a diminished triad with a minor 7th added. In the example, C is the root, E flat is the minor 3rd, G flat is the diminished 5th, and B flat is the minor 7th. So here's a C minor 7 flat 5, or C half diminished 7th chord. (chord strumming) There's one more type of 7th chord, the diminished 7th. It has some interesting qualities. You can check it out on page 42 of your book.
