Merging panoramic images

- [Instructor] Sometimes when capturing a photo it takes more than one photo to show the scene. For example, here we have the base photo, but then the drone tilted up and down to get more of the image. Similarly when capturing a real wide angle view, it might be necessary to use several photos. It's always ideal that there's about 50% overlap between each image. Let's select a range of images here, and I'll press Control + M to invoke the merge. This analyzes the images and attempts to blend them. And you see the different methods can handle things in different ways. Spherical works well when dealing with images that are projected all around. Typically a greater than 180 degree view, or something with a lot of up and down movement. Cylindrical, though, is really what we want to do here where there's a single row of images. And we can go through and correct the overall image. Now, in this case, it's looking pretty good,…
