Light for a scene: A good day, part 1
she's back at her writing desk, and when you last saw her there, she was having a bad day. Today, things are going to be different. Our vision for this image is going to be that Natalie is on fire, she's writing up a storm, everything's going great. We're going to try to shift the mood from these things So what is a lighting mood for a writer who's having a good day? My first thought was brighter than the bad day lighting, warmer, and then I started thinking, you know, I've got that fog machine, I'm always looking for a reason to use it. So what if we went in a real Steven Spielberg direction and had shafts of light coming through kind of a mist-filled room, warm light, yellow light? So that's our idea, is a brighter image that really looks like it's flooded with beautiful sunset. Of course, the majority of the story is going to be delivered by her and what she does on camera, but we're really going to buttress that, we're going to underscore it with this lighting.
