- Hi, my name is Michael Cast, I'm the founder of Story Impact. I'm a teacher with CreatorUp. I'm a college professor, it's all very exciting. And one of the things I'm most passionate about. And what my course is about, is storytelling and how storytelling can really connect people in a way that nothing else can. I've been telling stories forever. I mean, we all have really, if you think when you were five, and you told stories, but in a formal way. I started telling stories about six years ago at The Moth, which is a sort of storytelling, podcast slash story slam, and I still remember I was nervous, like, my legs were shaking, I was covered in sweat, and the theme was Breaking Bread. 'Cause they always give you a theme. And I remember getting up there, and just, I prepared something and I had this, and it all went right out of my head, just like that. And I just remember going, alright, you know what, this is my story…
