How can you practice asking questions?
- How can you get in the habit of asking questions? In my training, I repeatedly talk about the value of repetition. Repetition is the key to making lasting improvements. So to develop your ability to ask questions, you're going to want to practice. Here are a few ways you might do this. First, you can play what's called the question game in a group setting, such as a team meeting. The idea is that you go around in a circle and one person has to ask the person next to them a question. That person then turns to the person next to them and asks another question. If someone makes a statement, they're out. Now, this may seem a little weird at first but that's fine. When you play this game several times, it naturally starts to shift your brain to a place of asking questions rather than making statements. And it can sometimes be a fun break from a dry meeting.
