Flat scales
- A whole step away F is G. (plays notes on guitar) A whole step away from G is A. (plays notes on guitar) In order to get a half step, we change the B to a B flat. A half step away from A is B flat. (plays notes on guitar) A whole step from B flat is C. (plays notes on guitar) A whole step from C is D. (plays notes on guitar) A whole step from D is E. (plays notes on guitar) And a half step from E would be F. (plays notes on guitar) So the F major scale would have one flat in it, B flat. And here's what the scale sounds like. (plays scale on guitar) Here are the different major scales that contain flats.
