The Enhance Details command

- [Instructor] If you're working with RAW files, there's a little known command inside of Lightroom that generates an optimized DNG. Go to the Photo menu and you can choose Enhance Details. What this does is analyzes the image and creates an image with better detail. It's effectively a DNG conversion, but it tries to use artificial intelligence to improve things. Let's drag through here a little bit to see it. In this case, what it's doing is bringing out more detail in the image and improving the edges. It's very subtle, but it does work well and it does improve the overall image. When you're ready, you can click the Enhance button and it will generate the new file. Effectively, it's a new DNG that removes some of the artifacts and improves edge contrast. The change is very subtle, so I don't frequently use it myself. But I do find that it can be useful, particularly on images that are a bit challenged, like this one…
