- [Instructor] Now for this exercise, we're actually starting with a completely blank project. I'm in the standard layout and to get started, I want to go ahead and import a layered Illustrator file. So I'm going to double click in the empty area of the project panel and I'll navigate in my exercise files to the assets folder and I want to click once on the mountains asset, which is an Illustrator file. Once I've clicked once to have that selected, I'll go down here under import as and I'll change its options from footage to composition retain layer sizes. Notice nothing else here is selected. I'll go ahead and click import. Now once that's imported, you'll notice my project is 1920 by 1080 and it's 15 seconds long, and that's because the last composition I created was 15 seconds long. If yours is different, you can go ahead and click once on the composition, go open our composition and open your comp settings and change the duration to whatever you like.
