Dominant 7th chords

- The next type is a dominant seventh chord, which contains a root, a major third, a perfect fifth, and a minor seventh. This chord is a major triad with a minor seventh on top. Here C is the root. E is the major third. G is the perfect fifth. And B flat is the minor seventh. This is a C dominant seventh chord, which is usually written as C7. (plays chord)
