Diminished triads

- Now, let's look at the diminished Triad. A Diminished Triad is formed by choosing a root note, adding a minor third, and then adding a diminished fifth above the root. In relation to the major scale, we can find these notes of the Diminished Triad by using our major scale and choosing the root, then flatting the third and fifth degrees. Here we have a C, E flat and G flat. These three notes form the C Diminished Triad. (soft music)
