- [Instructor] With HDR images, you have a bit more latitude when developing. Feel free to really push the highlights and shadows in opposite directions and you'll see that the expanded dynamic range handles really well. I'll also get rich blacks and bright whites. Now, in this case, a little lower exposure is helpful. And I'm overall happy with the scene. However, the blue sky is just a little vivid. Pay attention to these areas and remember that the color mixer's quite useful. Let's pull down the blue sky. I'll use the targeted adjustment tool and just back that off a little bit with the saturation. Then switch to luminance and adjust the same area. That looks better. Now, a HDR file still suffers from the same problems of a traditional file, so don't be afraid to check your optics. Usually, the DNG file is going to automatically recognize and apply some lens correction but if these aren't enabled, go ahead…
