Create a new drawing
- [Instructor] Once you've completed your design in Solidworks and you're ready to transition into creating a drawing, there are two basic ways that you can do that. The first one is while you still have your design open, your solid part file, you can go up to the file drop down and select make drawing from part. When you click on that you're asked to choose a template if you haven't done so in the past you click okay and then here I'm going to select what sheet size I want to have. I'm going to use a B landscape. Click okay and I've created a drawing. The other way that you can create a new drawing is by going to file new and selecting drawing from the template. This will also give you an empty drawing you can start from and then begin inserting views. Again I'm going to select B Landscape and hit okay. You can see here on the side it's asking me which model view to select and from there I can start creating my drawing…
