Create a new PowerApps form

- [Instructor] Okay, it's time to start getting our hands dirty. Let's create our very first SharePoint Power Apps custom form. Now, important point. The time to start working on a form is after you have created your list and added in all the column fields. You cannot add fields into a form if they don't exist in the list. If you make changes to the list after you create a custom form, you will need to go back and manually revise the form to include those changes. Assuming these things have been done, getting started is quick and easy. From your list in the modern experience, click the PowerApps icon in the menu and select Customize forms. After a brief initialization, the form will open in the PowerApps window. And here's the start of our new custom form. The form itself is front and center, I just want to close this fields window so we can see it a little bit better. The column fields from the list have been placed on the form for us. Now it's very typically for the title and the attachment fields to be added as well even if you've hidden these fields in your list. We'll talk about what to do about that as we move along. Now something you might want to do before anything else, like many other things in Office 365, PowerApps can automatically save your work periodically. In this case every two minutes. But it's not a bad idea to make sure that's enabled. It could save your some heartache. Click Files in the menu, and then click Account in the left navigation. Down below the name and the environment you will see auto save, and it saves the changes every two minutes. It's on. I guess you could disable this if you wanted to, although I'm not sure why you would do that. We'll leave that on, and to get back to the main window hit this arrow, and it'll take you right back there. Here we are again.
