Create a main title sequence
- [Instructor] When we talk about a web series, we use a lot of the same terminology Many TV shows, from the early days of TV until now, have used the main title sequences to brand the show and provide a sense of consistency from episode to episode. A great example is the main title sequence for Star Trek. Look it up on YouTube to follow along if you like, the link's here. Let's talk about this main title sequence. First the music enters, the beginning of the Star Trek theme. Then, the unmistakable voiceover, "Space, the final frontier." Then comes the B-roll, where you see some planets, you see the Enterprise fly by, and the voiceover continues to its catchphrase, "To boldly go." And then you get the logo reveal, where the Star Trek logo flies in. And then it goes to the credits. In creating our main title sequence for our web episode, we watched examples from a bunch of other web series as well as TV shows.
