Controlling the hip

- [Narrator] Now that our feet are rigged, we can move on to the rest of the character's legs. And that means the hips and the knees. We're going to start off by rigging the hips. Now, before we do that, I'm just going to go ahead and turn off my geometry so we can see our rigs. So I have my lower character here and I can move that around. But what if I want the character to squat down or move from the hip down? Well, I need a control here in order to do that. Now for this particular joint, you'll see that it already has an orientation. And so we created this with the default settings and that means that X is pointed down that joint. So I want to create a control that's aligned with that joint. So let's go ahead and create a simple circle as our control. But I want it to be pointing down the X axis. Well, if I create it, it's going to be created in world space and that means I need to create it pointed at the X axis…
