Challenge: Place dimensions for a sample part
- [Instructor] Let's practice some of the fundamentals of dimensioning with a challenge. Continue the drawing you started in the last chapter by adding dimensions and notes to your views. Here are some things to remember as you work. Ensure every feature's size and location is fully defined. Be sure to place dimensions in the view in which they are most clearly interpreted. Try to select dimensions that are functionally significant. Use a note to define the material for the part. For this exercise, it doesn't matter which material you choose. Just focus on writing a complete material call-out. Once you're finished, move to the next video to see how we dimensioned this part.
