- [Instructor] From a high level you understand what it means to be cloud native, but what are the benefits of making this change? The majority of folks that I've talked to over time about cloud native come from a technical side of the organization and are in charge of building and running scalable applications. These might be architects, vice presidents, or CTOs just like yourself. In the previous section we had touched on the four pillars of cloud native. Namely building applications for the microservices paradigm, packaging them using a container-based approach, using a devops mindset to deploy these applications, and using practices of continuous delivery to continuously deliver your products to your customers. I said the words microservices, devops, containers, and continuous delivery all in the same sentence. Granted it's a lot of buzzwords, but there's a reason.
