- [Instructor] As we discussed in a previous movie, design is an objective process. And we have to balance our own design opinions with those of our clients and find a happy medium. We also have to answer to other creatives like art directors and creative directors who have their own personal creative style as well. So developing your ability to art direct yourself will help you present your best work and help remove the possibility of others over art directing it. This has best showing than explain. So let me show you a few examples. So this was one of the designs I created for the patriotic line and I liked it but as I approached it later, reviewing what I had done to that point, a few things stuck out to me. And this comes into play when you use what I call the fresh eyes effect. Meaning set a project aside, even if it's only for an hour.
