- Let's begin by taking the E major arpeggio, and applying this simple fingering. It basically consists of groupings of one and four. So we start with open E. And one on G sharp, four on B. Cross over with the one on E on the A string. Four with the G sharp. One on the B, one on the E. Four on G sharp. One on B. And four on E. Again, we'll have the metronome, or drum machine. (drum beating) (bass playing) You can also break the arpeggio up like this. (drum beating) Two, three, four. (bass playing) Let's alter the fingering just slightly for the minor arpeggio. Again, we'll start with open E. One, four, this time it's G natural. One, four, and one. Now here's the only particular change in the fingering. Here we'll go two, on G natural. Then one, one. Four, G natural. One on B, and then four. So it's. (bass playing) Let's try it in time. (drum beating) Two, three, four. (bass playing) Now broken…
