- [Tom] Well hello there! My name is Tom Green and welcome to this latest installment of Applied Interaction Design. In this installment, we're taking a close look at designing an interactive onboarding experience. As I point out in the first exercise, UX design involves a lot of research, personas, user journeys and so on before a single pixel is lit up and there is a real danger that we become so involved in that process, we forget there is a real live human being that will be using the project. We'll start by using a simple onboarding design pattern called the Nickel Tour in Sketch. From there, we review how to prepare the sketch art boards for interactivity in Adobe Experience Design, and finish up by creating the interactive prototype in XD. As well, we have a look at a couple of ways of sharing the prototype with the stakeholders and look at a relatively new feature in XD, aimed squarely at your developers. So let's get started creating an onboarding experience for some adventures on Georgian Bay in Canada.
