- "Ants Marching," what we call our national ant-em. It's the song that we pretty much end with in the night, when we're on tour. It's either the very last song or the encore tune. And it's a pick-me-up if that's what you want to call it. The intro to "Ants Marching" was one that was suggested by our sax player, LeRoi Moore, the snare hits. I had a couple of fans come up to me and tell me that there were like 28 hits on our "Remember Two Things" CD, and people were coming up to me, saying that, "Wow, that's awesome, that's so deep, man, what, what..." you know, and there was nothing really deep about it, it was just, you know, something that our sax player suggested. I think what it does basically, it gives LeRoi time to switch from his alto sax to his soprano sax, in the songs. But now we've shortened it and the snare hits in the beginning are more or less a signal that we're getting ready to go into the song and it's…
