Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding fixtures and domestic supply piping, part of Revit 2018: Essential Training for MEP (Imperial).
- [Voiceover] Similar to HVAC Mechanical, it's good to have…a starting point to start modeling pipe or duct, a great…starting point for domestic piping are, of course,…plumbing fixtures.…But here's the problem.…The architect usually shows the fixtures in their model,…and if they do that, we can't connect our pipe to 'em.…So, what do we do?…By adding just the connections to the fixtures that…the architect provides is a good way to not have to…copy all of the items into your model, duplicating…the effort.…This will give you the proper systems and allows you…to model a little more freely.…So, to get started, let's make sure we're in the Plumbing…plan, Floor Plans, 1-Plumbing.…
Let's zoom in on this lavatory area.…On the View tab, click the Callout button.…Let's make a callout of this area right about here.…Remember, we can always adjust the callout later.…Let's double-click on the callout.…In the Properties, let's rename it.…For View Name, instead of Callout 1,…let's call it Typical Lavatory.…
And click Apply.…The next thing I want to do is turn off the hatch pattern…
