- With so many monsters coming to life in both film and the gaming industries, we have a tough task creating something original. In this video, we'll look at some techniques and tips on how to create something brand new. Searching for originality. It's easier said than done and sometimes it takes quite a while to get this figured out. First thing you want to do is check out the internet or maybe you have a library of books at home and maybe even some movies and try to figure out what kind of animal-human hybrid has already been created. We've seen the lizard man a few hundred times, and any kind of reptilian is probably something you want to avoid. We've seen a lot of robotics, you know, infused with the human anatomy and they're really cool but let's try to stay away from that and of course you want to stay away from the real hard core classics like the Wolfman.
