As you learned previously, you can turn the sculpting brushes into paint brushes, but the attributes of paint and sculpt are not mutually exclusive. In this video, learn a technique that allows you to create details with color while you sculpt.
- [Instructor] So using the highlights…and crevices paint brush I went…through the entire model and refined all of these subtles.…And here is sort of what I end up with.…Now we're practically ready to move into the rendering part…of course but I just wanted to show you a little extra trick…that can prove to be very helpful for certain details.…So lets go ahead and choose one of the horns and go into…solar mode so we can just concentrate on these mesh and lets…also frame it.…Now lets chose the sculpting brush like the…dam standard brush.…And also I'm going to change the brush size a little bit.…
Something like this should work fine.…Now the idea of this trick is that because these switches…at the top are non mutual exclusive we can actually leave…the Z sub switch on but also switch the RGB on.…So now we can sculpt but at the same time we can paint…details which could be really useful for things like cracks…or scratches for instance.…So I'm going to select a lighter color in my paint swatch.…And let's go ahead and start painting…
