When mirroring a highly detailed sculpted subtool, ZBrush requires all lower level divisions to be deleted. Learn how you can effectively restore division levels to a mirrored subtool using the Project sculpt method.
- [Instructor] Earlier in the course I ran into the problem…of duplicating my left hand…and moving it over to the right hand position.…And in doing so, in order to…capture all of the high-level detail,…I had to delete all of the lower divisions, if you recall.…What I'd like to now show you is how you can restore…the low poly mesh along with the high poly mesh.…It's a little trick but we'll also…be using the Projection technique,…so let me show you basically how that works.…
The first thing I always do whenever I'm working on…a test of some sort, is I make a duplicate.…Just to be safe that I don't destroy the original.…Okay, so I'll go ahead and make a duplicate of the glove.…And then I want to go under my Geometry,…of course I'm in the highest level already,…and I want to go down to DynaMesh.…I'm going to set my Resolution at a high setting,…in this case I'll go 2400,…and I'll set my Blur down to 0…because I don't want to have any blur or distortion.…
And then I'll choose DynaMesh.…So now I have a high poly DynaMesh,…
