In this ZBrush sculpting training lesson, your instructor demonstrates how to use the rig you just created in the last video for your scarecrow, to reposition some elements of the model. You will start by moving the arms, hands, and fingers to match the positioning shown in the concept art.
- [Instructor] So I know I want to increase,…the angle of the arm.…It also needs to,…be slightly positioned backwards,…so that it will drape over,…the actual post.…And now I'll select here.…And bend my arm.…Now you'll notice that there is a collapsing…because of the geometry,…and that's something I'm not going…to concern myself with because I can modify,…the mesh itself, the polygon itself later on.…
So I'm going to position that,…properly.…Move it back a little bit more.…And make sure that is,…resting accordingly on the post.…
I also have to rotate the hand,…in the correct direction.…And then finally bend my fingers,…so I'll select over,…the three knuckles in the hand…and just bend those gently.…
And I'm of course looking at the concept art…on my other screen as I do this…so that I'm matching the look.…Okay.…Now I want to bend a little bit more here.…And probably a little bit in this finger, as well.…The thumb doesn't really have much going on.…
It's slightly bent outwards.…And I'll just bring it down,…a little bit in a relaxed state.…
