- Version 2020 of Z Brush introduces an additional level of control over how you can paint with color. Previously, alphas only affected sculpting. But now they can control painting as well. Lets see how this makes for a powerful way to combine painting with sculpting in the same brush. Okay lets paint some fur on this bull. And by doing this I'm going to be building up a brush slowly one step at a time so you can see how the effects of these different settings are affecting the brush as I go. So, by default we've got a standard brush with dots, make it a slightly smaller draw size here. And you can see its a basic sculpting brush. So ill just hit Control Z to undo that. If we want to turn it into a painting brush as well we can turn on RGB mode. Now lets say we want to paint this bull a brownish color. Lets come down here and actually lets fill it with a base layer of black and the build brown on top of that. So, I'm just going…
