Making a model subdivide like other software

- Most 3D softwares use mathematical algorithms to subdivide polygonal models into smoother versions. These algorithms are based on decades old formulas. ZBrush's subdivision is also based on the same math but with a few differences. Often the differences aren't enough to worry about. However, if your model has open edges it can give drastically different results than other software. In this video I'll show you how to make ZBrush behave more like other software when it comes to subdividing. Okay, so here's the model I'm going to be working with. Just a simple jacket. So the more simple the model is the easier it is to see the difference between how ZBrush subdivides and other programs. I'm going to use Dynamic Subdivision for this. It shows what the model would look like with two subdivision levels but lets you continue working on the original low poly version. So to turn that on just simply hit D on the keyboard.
