Generating the Boolean mesh
- [Instructor] As we saw in the last video Live Booleans are great for visualizing the addition, subtraction and overlap of various objects. But it's just a viewport effect so far. In this video, I'll show you how to lock in those Boolean shapes. Okay you can see I added a couple more objects since the last video, a little pedestal here. Now one thing I want to show you is that these different Boolean operations can be broken up into different groups. So there's a little switch that can be hard to see. But it's basically overlapping the top half of the graphic that represents the sub tool. So if we click on there, it'll switch to a start group. Now let's do this one more time for this cylinder here. So what this is doing is it's creating two different groups that won't interact with each other. So for example, if I have this top and bottom of the pedestal set to subtract mode, it will subtract from this main cylinder,…
