Hotkeys and shortcuts are essential to speed up the workflow in any software. ZBrushCore has various hotkeys that you can learn to switch between brushes or to enable certain processes. In this part of the tutorial, learn how to re-map or re-assign hotkeys to different tools.
- [Instructor] In ZBrushCore,…there are some essential shortcuts or hotkeys…that we should definitely know in order to work faster.…Some of them are actually very intuitive,…like pressing the letter P on your keyboard…to switch perspective on and off,…or the letter F to quickly frame your model…to the center of the canvas.…However, there are some buttons that are used often,…and do not have a hotkey assigned.…In the same way that we can arrange the UI elements,…we can also assign customer hotkeys to those elements.…For example, I use the solo mode all the time,…so in my set of custom hotkeys,…I have the letter S assigned to this switch.…
The steps to assign a new hotkey…are actually very simple as well,…but as opposed to the process…of moving things around in the UI, you need to make sure…that the enable customize UI switch is off.…Now to assign a new hotkey, hold control and alt,…and click once on the button or switch you want to remap.…The key or combination of keys…that you press immediately after will become the hotkey.…
